Maybe multitasking is not bad as I was thought

Hi,

that ‘ve been a while since I do this agaain. And I really miss it. I left writting and creating content due to unhealthy perfectionism biases and like of time, but I have to admit, this is a principal core ingredient to my wellbeing, my growth and my experience on earth.

I quickly want to talk about multitasking today. That a subject I continuously think about. As a multipotential guy, I've been struggled a lot with get things done and keep focus on my project. I search many ways to keep focus on one single task.

I am back to a university architectural education at 25 and, this new experience makes me face the lack of time, to do things, control it and perfect it as I would.

I am still convinced that there is a lot of joy thought craft and perfect over the time of your craft product and process, but I am not looking at ‘distraction’ as the way I do previous back in my life.

THE MEANING OF LIFE is to do, to make things happen, project that will make yourself proud, happier and make other humans proud, happier and a little bit more feel good. As Seth Goddins said:

“Your job is to make art’’

And I even think it is deeper than that, it is not just your job. It’s a need: as learn, breathe , eat , and having sex.

Trying to have a “corporate mind” over organized with always a dedicated time to One unique task in your calendar can block your creativity and productivity. At least, I feel that for myself.

Let me be clear, you have to distinguish positive, healthy multitasking from, unhealthy toxic multitasking. Sometimes you do not multitask, but you avoid working on a manner project because you fear it. Try to be honest and ask yourself if this is the case. Do a little 5 min of journaling about why you actively procrastinate or run out what you have to do. It can be self judgement ; low estim issue or just like of horizontality( i will do later a post about this amazing concept of horizontality that set me free). It also can be lack of motivation, fatigue or health issue (mental, physical or spiritual). Get a nap, pray, or talk to some friend in this case.

But In many case (most cases), I found it pretty healthy and productive to work on several projects at the same time.

As an example, while I am writing this, I simultaneously work on my exam, two freelance projects, a Podcast project.

And I feel like each project feed me and fuel me on the other one.

And about my need of perfectionism; am I telling myself right now that I always can get back on my art and correct/adjust it slowly over the time.

BUT IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO PUT THINGS OUT, because

THE MEANING OF LIFE IS TO DO;

Thanks u Virgil to make me work on this

This takes me 25min to write and a lot of happiness return ;)
